The mighty chief who started a war!

After the British victory in the French and Indian War (1754-1763), the tribes were dissatisfied with British policy and launched an uprising to drive them from the region. Perhaps most prominent among the many chiefs that were involved was Pontiac, chief of the Ottawa, who launched the war with an attempt to massacre the British at Fort Detroit.

The story is well-told by H. E. Marshall, as we read from her book, This Country of Ours.
